" Really pleasant wine. Nose was relatively light when I first opened the bottle, with bright red fruits, with some meaty notes on the back end. Surprisingly light, with silky tannins and a definitely meaty finish.
After being decanted for about an hour and a half, it picked up a ton of body. The nose added a hint of baking spices, but the big change was on the palate: picked up dark, rich cherries with some cocoa powder as well. It became very full bodied with smooth velvety tannins. The meaty element was relegated to the finish, which went on for a solid 30 seconds.

WINEMAKER’S NOTES: All wines aged individually in barrel until one month before bottling. Some components aged up to 30 months in barrel. Many grapes crushed, other grapes only destemmed, some wines saw extended maceration for up to 70 days on skins. Fermented in 1 ton open top fermenters. Vintage’s 2012, 2013 and 2014 constitute this blended wine.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: This wine may exhibit tartrate crystals (sometimes referred to as “wine diamonds”) in bottle neck / on cork. This is a natural occurrence which shows the wine to have been minimally handled in the cellar. Decant up to 8 hours prior to serving.
